Laser Therapy

If you are experiencing recurring fungal nail or foot or ankle issues our PBM laser therapy sessions might be what you are looking for.

At our Laser Care Clinic we use our class 4 laser devices in our low level laser therapy (LLLT) treatments. Class 4 lasers are the most powerful therapeutic laser available in a clinical setting. Increased power output allows the laser therapy to penetrate deeper into the tissues compared to a traditional ‘cold’ laser or ultrasound. Increased power output also results in shorter, more effective treatment times. This works very well for Plantar Faciates and fungal nail patients.

The class four-level laser produces light more efficiently than the three-level. To achieve the condition of population inversion lower energy is required. The class four-level laser is operated in continuous wave mode while the three-level laser is operated in pulse mode.

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), also known as Photobiomodulation (PBM) Therapy, is a non-invasive treatment that uses red and near-infrared light to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and promote tissue healing. LLLT works by reducing oxidative stress, a key factor in many diseases and injuries.

Low-Level Laser Therapy: A Science-Backed Approach to Wellness

LLLT is used for various conditions, including:

  • Restoring joint mobility
  • Improving muscle performance
  • Reducing post-exercise soreness
  • Supporting weight management as part of a diet and exercise program

The clinically-proven benefits of LLLT include:

  • Reduced pain and inflammation
  • Accelerated recovery from injuries
  • Faster return to physical health
  • Lowered fat and cardiometabolic risk factors
  • Reduced exercise-induced muscle soreness and quicker recovery

If you are a Runner, Hiker or Walker - Check out our specialised Laser & RedLight rehab and recovery options at our Laser Care Clinic

PBM Laser and Red light therapy treatments are powerful tools for runners and walkers, aiding recovery and preventing injuries. By penetrating deep into tissues, it stimulates cellular repair and increases blood flow, reducing inflammation and muscle soreness after intense training sessions. This helps runners recover faster and perform at their best. It’s also highly effective in treating common injuries like plantar fasciitis, shin splints, and tendonitis by promoting tissue healing and reducing pain. Regular use supports joint health and flexibility, making it ideal for managing stress on knees, ankles, and other overworked areas.
